(1) Between the septate lungs of extant ‘reptiles’ and the derived air sac system of extant birds, there must have existed an entire spectrum of intermediates.(2) Microscopically, the fungus produces solitary oval to dumbbell-shaped conidia on short, unbranched conidiophores lateral to septate hyphae.(3) By contrast, the ascomycetes and basidiomycetes are septate ; their filaments are partitioned by cellular cross-walls called septa.(4) Thermal balloon therapy is contraindicated in patients with a submucosal myoma or bicornate or septate uterus.(5) Faint brown septate hyphae and moniliform fungal elements were found in the granuloma.(6) It is not clear whether capillary invasion stimulates alveolar septation or vice versa, but alveolar septation is always associated with capillary invasion.(7) Internal septations , polypoid lesions extending into the lumen and irregular shapes seem to be associated with the malignant variety, although some papillary processes may be seen in mucinous cystadenomas.(8) The main feature of alveolarization is the subdivision of the pre-existing voluminous saccules by septation , which leads to smaller units and an increased total surface area.(9) A 3-month follow-up ultrasound showed enlargement of the right ovary with multiple bilateral cysts with a few septations .(10) A careful search for true septations revealed at least rare septation in all cases.
